My interest in art began as a young child – just give me some paper and a pencil in my alone time and I was happy. As I grew older, my formal training took me to the University of Minnesota where I completed my BFA followed by a MFA at Idaho State University. Soon after college, I began working as a technical illustrator and draftsman. However, after five years, I took a career detour into business while picking up the sketchbook from time to time to keep my journey back to the fine arts alive. During that time, my style changed from abstract expressionism to surrealism inspired by Belgian painter Rene Magritte. Years later, I transitioned out of the corporate world and continued my artistic journey with a commitment to express the Biblical gospel message in my drawings and paintings with the focus on “The Message.”
